Cashback Bonuses Compared: Equiti vs. Competitors

With Equiti offering up to 5$ back to those with “Standard” Equiti trading accounts per lot when trading EUR/USD, let’s see how this compares with other leading online forex brokers partnered with STIC Cashback.

    Equiti Broker Background and History

The roots of Equiti Group can be traced all the way back to 2008 when the Divisa Capital Group was incorporated. Equiti Group Ltd then acquired Divisa’s group of companies nine years later after operating in the UK, U.S. and beyond.

12 months later, all Divisa assets in the UK, U.S. and Armenian markets completed full rebrands to Equiti.

In 2020, Equiti Group Limited received full licensing and regulation by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA). Two years later, its subsidiary, Equities Securities Currencies Brokers LLC, secured a license to operate in the United Arab Emirates through the Emirati’s SCA.

In July 2022, Global Business Review Magazine named Equiti as its Best Customer Service Broker in the MENA. The Global Brands Magazine also awarded Equiti as its Fastest Growing Multi-Asset Broker in December 2022.

    Equiti Broker Regulation and Safety

At the time of writing, Equiti has secured licenses to serve the regulated markets of Jordan, the UK, UAE, Kenya, Armenia, and the Seychelles.

In the UK, the firm exists as Equiti Capital, serving as a bespoke liquidity provider for the forex and CFD markets.

Equiti’s trading platform offers peace of mind to forex traders of all trading banks, with an active Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate to fully encrypt all sensitive data between clients and the Equiti platform.

It’s also possible to set up biometric logins or use two-factor authentication (2FA) to include an extra layer of protection for your Equiti trading account.

As a licensed and regulated forex broker in multiple jurisdictions, Equiti endeavours to keep its client funds fully segregated from its operating funds. This is in full accordance with client money rules, guaranteeing the safety of your funds even in the event of Equiti’s sudden insolvency.

Equiti Forex Account Registration, Verification and Login

To create an Equiti account, hit the green “Start Trading” button in the top right corner of the Equiti website. You must then select your country of residence, followed by your name, email address and suitable password.

You’ll also be asked about your trading experience, existing source of funds/employment and more. You’ll often be required to upload forms of government-issued ID to verify your account too.

Once validated, you can then head over to the Equiti login button and sign in using your email and password.

    Account Options at Equiti Broker

There are two primary trading accounts to choose from as a prospective Equiti client:

    • Standard

The Standard Equiti account is free to sign up for. The Equiti minimum deposit is $0 for the Standard account too, which creates no barriers to entry for novices. It does have an average spread of 1.4 pips, but there’s zero commission charged on the flip side. Standard Equiti accounts also have access to all the same trading platforms as Premier account holders.

    • Premier

The Premier Equiti account is also free to sign up for, but the minimum deposits start from $100. You’ll get zero spreads but you’ll pay $3.5 per lot in side commission. The tightest possible spreads make Equiti’s Premier account ideally suited to high-volume traders who need fast, tight market executions.

    Equiti Forex Trading Platforms

Equiti clients get access to MetaTrader 4 (MT4), the popular third-party trading platform that’s a household name in the trading community for its intuitive and powerful tools and indicators.

This broker has also invested in the development of its own proprietary trading tool, Equiti EQ Trader, which is a fully-responsive web-based application suitable for trading forex, equities, indices, commodities, and precious metals.
